| Senior IAS officer on Govt radar because of his shoddy deals | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 30: A senior IAS officer of J&K cadre, presently holding top position in the government, is under the scanner of the Central Government agencies because of his shoddy deals and acts while holding various important positions during the past few years. This non local senior IAS officer is known for his arrogance and lightheaded attitude towards his juniors and even public representatives in past. However, no Govt could dare to screw him because of a powerful lobbying backing him so far.So powerful was this officer that even a Cabinet ranking minister had to quit after his verbal dual with this IAS who refused to take orders from the Minister. However, powers of this officer were curtailed to some extent after the incumbent Governor Satya Pal Malik took over the reins of administration in Jammu and Kashmir Sources said that after coming to know about the alleged acts of omissions and commissions of this officer, the Governor's administration set radar on the former and then surfaced J&K Bank fraud, which completely exposed him.Further, sources added that there are some serious allegations of links between this officer and main accused of J&K Bank frauds. As the gravity of allegations were very serious, sources said that help of some central agencies is also being taken to ascertain the truth and expose this officer, who is also in the eye of storm because of his open anti- RSS remarks against the Sangh synpathysizers in J&K administration. If the sources are to be believed, days of this officer in J&K administration are numbered and he is likely to be shifted outside the State on deputation soon before action against him under the rule of law. |
