Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 30: Shocking but true that the people of Jammu region have been bearing the Pakistan aggression every 4 hours in the form of ceasefire violation in areas along the fence with the enemy country since Aug 5 when the Modi Government scrapped Article 370.
Officials told Early Times that since the abrogation of special status Pakistan has resorted to ceasfire violations more than 220 times and civilian areas of Rajouri and Poonch districts bearing brunt. This means on an average the Jammu region witnessed six ceasefire violations per day-something that hints at a fresh attack after every four hours. The life in the border district and that along the LoC has been badly hit since the day Pakistan intensified its aggression on the Indian soil.
It is pertinent to mention that life has been miserably hit in such rural areas. While educational institutions and commercial establishments are largely closed the agriculture activities are also badly affected in these areas. In latest stooping to a new low again, the Pakistani forces attack schools in Rajouri and Poonch districts forcing the authorities to close the educational activities in the affected areas.
The enemy country has been using heavy artillery to target the civilian areas for the last around a month.
Observers said that Pakistan has been frustrated by the support shown by the people of Jammu towards the abrogation of special status.
"Pakistan has always wanted the peace and prosperity in the Jammu region should remain affected and this is because it failed to provoke the people of Jammu to pickup arms such a way it happened in Kashmir. The enemy country is trying to punish the people of Jammu through such unwanted ceasefire violation ," said a political analyst.
Meanwhile the people of affected areas have sought a befitting reply to Pakistan for its nefarious designs to disrupt peace and prosperity in Jammu through ceasefire violations.
