| ISM dispensaries nowhere functional medicines worth crores unused | | | MS Nazki

Poonch, Dec 27: Most of the Indian system Medicines (ISM) worth crores of rupees dumped medicine in various dispensaries in the district seems to be of no use as people in several villages were still unaware about Ayush units and its programmes sources said here today.
They said that there were 21 ISM dispensaries and 3 internal arrangement besides 4 Ayush Units existing in the district but unfortunate part of the story was that no medical officer has till date told people through awareness camps about the programmes and benefits of the centrally sponsored schemes they added. They said medicines worth cores of rupees remains in the ISM dispensaries on the account of out of order no information to masses and secondly the apathetic and irresponsible approach of the Medical officers and other staff who miserably failed to reach the benefits of the scheme out to people to tell about who live in remote and border areas.
While talking to Assistnat medical officer Dr Haider Ali shah told Early times that he was posted inRajouri and has additional charge of Poonch too.
I wll visit there and took note the issues pertaining to staff of ISM dispensaries . He assured that appropriate action in the matter will be taken and running of ISM dispensaries in the Poonch will be made smooth ,he added. He also said that vacancies of the medical staff will be filled on priority . |
