| MVIS organizes street play | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 27: MV International School organized a street play at Vijaypur Chowk, near Block Development Office (BDO) Vijaypur in which 31 students from classes 6th to 11th participated.
The street play was on the topic "Adieu: Ugly Illiteracy". This public show was aimed at generating awareness amongst the people regarding the importance of literacy in the today's world. This show has also made people aware about the policies and programs, that government has adopted to increase literacy rate. This activity was organized under the banner of British Council International School Award (ISA).
Sona Gupta, KAS, BDO, Vijaypur along with businessman of Vijaypur market and prominent citizens witnessed the play. The BDO in her address appreciated the efforts made by students to create awareness among the locals and she also asked the school to conduct similar street plays on social issues. The public gathered was quiet impressed by the efforts of the students of the school and they showed overwhelming response by participating in large numbers. |
