Early Times Report

Jammu, Dec 27: Panun Kashmir led by its President had a meeting today in Jammu to observe 28th anniversary of Margdarshan resolution of 1991. The meeting was convened by Convener Ravinder Jalali. While addressing the members he said that it was on this day when the historic resolution for a separate Homeland for Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir Valley, was passed and adopted by the entire KP community. He further said that it is the only pragmatic solution acceptable to the Kashmiri Pandits who are the aborigines of Kashmir. Vijay Bhat, President Panun Kashmir, reiterated that the establishment of a separate Homeland is the only viable solution for Kashmiri Pandits to preserve the ethnicity, culture and heritage of Kashmiri Pandits who are the aborigines of Kashmir and carry the legacy and tradition of 5000 years old history. Vijay Bhat slammed the pseudo nationalist and secular parties who claim the Kashmir problem as a political one. He reiterated that the Kashmir Problem is purely a communal problem based on the two nation theory of 1947 which result in the creation of Pakistan for Muslims. Those who say that Kashmir Problem is a political one and not a communal problem are actually toeing the line of Pakistan and seem to be working on behest of ISI and Pakistan. Further it was said that there is no such as Kashmiri Problem but there is problem in Kashmir created by some radical forces and selfish leaders who have vested interests. Rajinder Raina Gen. Sec. and spokesperson, while appreciating the reorganization ovf state, said it is incomplete without carving a separate homeland for Kashmiri Pandits as decided in Margdarshan resolution of 1991.
