 JAMMU, Dec 28: Making jammu and Kashmir proud, Kathua based scientist Dr.Banarsi Lal, presently Incharge, Senior Scientist-cum-Head of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology-Jammu (SKUAST-J) bagged the coveted ‘Scientist of the Year Award-2019’ in the International Conference on Innovations in Plant and Animals Sciences for Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development (IPASSARD-2019).
The event held at Shri Karan Narindra Agriculture University Jobner(Jaipur),Rajasthan. The conference was organised by the Shri National Agriculture Development Co-operative Ltd.(NADCL). In collaboration with Shri Karan Narindra Agriculture University Jobner(Jaipur). Many renowned agricultural scientists, academicians and scholars across the globe participated in the mega event and deliberated on the various issues of plants and animals sciences. The panel conferred the Scientist of the Year Award 2019 to the budding scientist based on his remarkable contributions and accomplishments in the field of agriculture and allied sectors.
The award contains a certificate of excellence along with a citation. His overall research papers, articles, book chapters, books, success stories, case studies, Radio/TV talks, invited talks, consultancy services, SHGs/Farmers Clubs managed, technologies disseminated etc. were considered for the prestigious award. It is worthwhile to mention here that Dr. Banarsi is the Gold Medalist from Rajasthan Agriculture University (RAU),Bikaner and he has accomplished his doctorate degree from the Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi. The scientist has written more than 500 publications as quality research papers in national and international journals, articles, books, book chapters, success stories/case studies, technical bulletins, leaflets, folders, training manuals etc. He has the distinction to win many zonal, national and international awards. |
