| DC directs for shifting of IGNOU Examination Centre | | | Kishtwar, Jan 2: Taking cognizance over the complaints pouring with regard to misconduct of examinations being conducted by IGNOU in HS Inderwal (Passerkoot) Centre located in Sub Division Chatroo, District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana directed IGNOU authorities to shift the aforementioned centre immediately at a central location. It is pertinent to mention here that, on the directions of DDC Kishtwar, SDM Chatroo inspected the said examination centre and the report submitted by him reveals that authorites at the helm of the affairs have not taken important issues seriously while setting up of the said centre,besides due to rush of students superintendent/custodain of said examination centre on their own utilized adjoining Panchayt Ghar ,Dispensary and under construction PHC Building and the said buildings which were not feasible in terms of accesibility, accomodation and other facilities besides the road leading to Passerkoot is prone to frost since the area is most far flung at the extreme end in Chatroo Sub Division of Kishtwar District. DDC while directing for shifting of said examination centre at central location further added that it could be monitored properly for smooth conduct of examination besides the authority at the helm of affairs conducting such type of examination shall take into confidence the District Administration in establishing the Examination Centre in future. Further, in order to ensure the smooth conduct of ongoing examination and to curb the menace of mass copying , DDC constituted the flying squad teams who shall keep close vigil and ensure proper conduct of examination as envisaged under rules.
