Noshwera, Jan 2: The residents of Line of Control villages in Rajouri district are irked over absence of telecommunication services in the area. A number of LoC villages including in Beri Pattan, Sunderbani, Nowshera, Qila Darhal, Rajouri and Manjakote Tehsils are without telecommunication services since long.
Thousands of villagers live in these villages who brave cross border firing and shelling on almost every day basis and face immense hardships. The villagers including Sham Lal, Krishan Lal, Surjeet Parkash, Ramesh Choudary, Vinod Sharma, Kuldeep Choudary, Meentu Kumar.
Arpat Kumar, Sandeep Singh, Shahzad Ahmed and others said that telecommunication services are not having any telecommunication services since the same started. They said that at the time of shelling on LoC, villagers face immense hardships to inform authorities about any eventuality.
They appealed authorities to formulate a plan to provide telecommunication services in their border area. Telecom District Engineer, BSNL Rajouri said that efforts are on to redress the issue. |
