All seniors sidelined, half a dozen leaders running show in J&K BJP

Jammu, Jan 2: Repeated meetings of some selective BJP leaders with Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chander Murmu has authenticated the allegations that party has decided to sideline all senior leaders in important activities.
Since formation of J&K as UT, those at the helm of the affairs in BJP have completely sidelined senior leaders who have played very important role in expansion of the party in J&K. Instead of taking all senior leaders on the board, some selective leaders have been projected and only they have been allowed to hold meeting with important persons.
Credible sources said that those who have captured BJP these leaders have decided to cut all senior leaders to size because they wanted only to project junior leaders to tighten grip on the party.
Sources said that all senior leaders have been sidelined in the functioning of the party in J&K and only half a dozen persons within party were taking all important decisions. Apart from managing day today activities of the party, finace of the party is also controlled by this coterie of half a dozen leaders.
Important to mention here that on Thursday two BJP leaders namely Sunil Sharma and state president Ravinder Raina called on called on Lieutenant Governor and discussed many issues. They have not taken any other senior leaders with them.
According to handout, the duo submitted a memorandum of demands to the Lt. Governor pertaining to compensation to the farmers for the damaged Basmati crops due to untimely rains, promotion of pilgrimage and religious tourism in J&K, implementation of PMDP projects for the development of Tourism sector, Artificial Lake project, abolition of Sarore Toll Plaza, SRO 43 cases for Next of the Kins (NoK) of SPOs who achieved Martyrdom before 2009, establishment of Law University in Jammu, proper implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes in Power sector like DDUJJY and Saubhagya, regularization of daily wagers, need-based and casual employees working in various Government departments and creation of separate salary heads for the disbursement of their salaries on regular basis, settlement of issues of Home guards and Khidmat centres and strengthening of VDCs and other issues of VDC members.
They also demanded for expediting of several developmental projects including Hydro Power Projects- Kiru, Kwar, Karthai and Rattle, Jammu Smart City project, AIIMS, four-laning of Jammu-Akhnoor road; Akhnoor to Rajouri- Poonch via Nowshera-Sunderbani National Highway and promotion of Horticulture sector in areas like Poonch, Bani , Basohli and erstwhile Doda.
