| Citizen Forum hails LG for finalization of Chinab River Water project | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 2: Citizen's Forum is immensely thankful to The It Governor G C Murmu for giving final shape to the dream project of bringing Chinab River Water for Jammu City. Forum have been demanding it since 1994-95, but our worthy leaders never bothered for it.
R K Chadha president Citizen's Forum said he was informed by Commissioner/Secretary PHE Sahu that all formalities of the project costing Rs. 650 crores have been completed and center has been approached for the funds. He informed that Government Agency has taken all technical aspects in to consideration and this project will be commissioned very shortly. Forum President R K Chadha further request G C Murmu that while preparing project components for Jammu Smart City the requirement of sufficient Parking should be the first priority.
Our forum members R K Handa former V C JDA and former Chief Engineer Awn Sharma had prepared a complete plan for decongesting the Jammu city thus creating enormous parking space in Jammu City and the the same was sent to the former Governor Sh. Satya Pal Malik. Let us create a breathing space for people of Jammu City. The Decongestion Plan prepared by forum members can again be presented to concerned authority if demanded. Citizen's Forum request Chief Executive Officer, Jammu Smart City to involve some national planners in forming the plan for Jammu Smart City along with the local stake holders in the project. |
