Jammu, Jan 2: Dr. Banarsi Lal, Incharge, Sr. Scientist-cum-Head of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) has been awarded with the prestigious 'Best KVK Scientist Award-2019'.
The award was presented in the International Conference on "Global Perspective in Agricultural and Applied Sciences for Food and Environmental Security (GAAFES-2019)" recently held at UGC-HRDC Hall, Kumaun University, Nainital, Uttarakhand.
The conference was organised by the Agricultural & Environmental Technology Development Society (AETDS). The conference was attended by more than 800 eminent scientists, academicians and scholars across the globe. Dr. Banarsi got the prestigious award on the basis of his commendable contributions and meritorious achievements in the field of agriculture.
The outstanding achievements and commitments of the scientist were genuinely considered by the esteem society (AETDS) for the coveted award. The panel considered Dr.Banarsi for the Best KVK Scientist Award on the basis of his research publications as first author, books as first author, book chapters as first author, success stories as first author, popular articles as first author, PI and Co-PI of Projects, case studies as first author, Radio/TV talks, invited talks, trainings imparted, consultancy services, SHGs/Farmers Clubs managed, research and extension technologies devised, refined and disseminated, organic agriculture, consultancy services for monkey menace etc. |
