ACR reviews arrangement for Basanti Panchmi Utsav at Mathwar

JAMMU, Jan 16: Assistant Commissioner Revenue Jammu, Vijay Kumar Sharma today visited Mathwar and reviewed the arrangements for smooth celebration of ensuing Basant Panchmi Utsav at Darbar Shri Mathwar Wale Baba Ji Mathwar Nagri Jammu.
The meeting was attended by Block Development Officer, Mathwar, Shalini Raina, Tehsildar Balwal, Rafiq Jaral, SP Rural Jammu, Suram Singh besides senior functionaries of PHE, PDD, PWD, Health, Police and other concerned departments.
It was informed in the meeting that the mela is commencing on January 30 and will culminate on February 2.
The ACR briefly discussed the arrangements to be made by the concerned departments including facilities like power, water supply, sanitation, availability of essentials, transport, fire tenders, besides medical facilities at the venue. The ACR stressed on synergy among different departments for ensuring adequate arrangements for the smooth celebration of Basant Panchmi Utsav.
Necessary directions were issued to the concerned departments for smooth conduct of the Mela. PHE Department was asked to ensure adequate water supply with provision of additional water tanks and PDD was asked to ensure proper lighting arrangements in addition to un-interrupted power supply during the celebration. Rural Development authorities were directed for ensuring proper sanitation in and around the venue and PWD was directed to repair the roads. Directions were also issued for adequate security and traffic management during the Mela days.
