"31st National Road Safety Week" concludes
DC Ramban flags off bikers' rally

RAMBAN, Jan 16: Deputy Commissioner, Nazim Zai Khan today flagged off a Bikers' Rally from district administrative complex to aware the masses about traffic rules on concluding day of 31st National Road Safety Week.
SSP Anita Sharma, Deputy CMO Dr. Iqbal Bhat, DSP Traffic Ajay Anand, ARTO Safqat Majeed, NGOs besides representatives of transport unions, students were present on the occasion
Speaking on the occasion, DC appreciated the efforts being made by the MVD, district administration, NGOs, employees of District Transport Office, volunteer services and different schools in counselling and educating people anout road safety rules.
All stakeholders besides associated transport unions who participated in this campaign were also appreciated at the function and were reminded to keep the effort going throughout the year.
SSP said that while accident rate on national highway and link roads is high that's why we should take necessary road safety measures to avoid road accident. During the campaign, different events were conducted including biker rally, painting competition, awareness rally, and debate competition besides a free medical camp in coordination with different departments.
Later, the winners and participants were awarded for their outstanding performances by the DC.
