MVD Samba organises On-Spot Writing Competition

Jammu, Jan 16: MV International School today in collaboration with Motor Vehicle Department, Samba, hosted an On-Spot Writing Competition on "Ideathon on different aspects of road safety on Indian roads" to commemorate the 31st National Road Safety Week 2020. Different schools from Samba district participated in which around 70 students showcased their talent. The competition was witnessed and honored by Rehana Tabassum, ARTO Samba, Surinder Kumar, Motor Vehicle Inspector Samba along with other officials of the department who thoroughly enjoyed being part of this wonderful event. Rehana Tabassum appreciated and encouraged the participants to actively involve in such events. She further said such programmes provide much needed platform to budding talent to express their ideas and provide multiple solution to various problems. She also thanked the school management for conducting such event. After the event a workshop was also organized for the drivers, conductors and students of the school which created an awareness and vigilance in the students about the importance of Road Safety, and the motive of celebrating the National Road Safety Week was justified. Vote of thanks and mementos were presented to all the officials by Kundan Lal Dogra, Principal, MVIS. In the end everyone pledged with the officials to follow all the safety rules and regulations.
