Match Drawn Railways took first innings lead against J&K, secure 3 points

JAMMU, Jan 16: The poor performance of Jammu and Kashmir in first innings sink the boat of J&K as Railways secure the three crucial points on the basis of first innings leads. The Jammu and Kashmir secured solo one point. The match was being played at Govt. Gandhi Memorial Science College ground, Jammu
Jammu and Kashmir played whole day on fourth day of the Col C K Nayudu match as the team were in defensive mode. Jammu and Kashmir scored 272 runs in second innings had that been the case in first innings result would have been different.
Services were happy in making Jammu and Kashmir bat whole day as they knew that first innings leads against J&K would mean three points. Also the heavy rain on the first day of the match also pushed Jammu and Kashmir in little state of bother as ball started moving on day 2. J&K batsman failed to score big in first innings, as six batsmen failed to score in double figures. While bowlers continued to leak runs even knowing that there was little score on the scoreboard in first innings. In second innings, Jammu and Kashmir showed better technique as most of the batsmen who batted scored as lazy run rate. Captain Vivrant Sharma was in double mind whether to save the day or score as he managed 75 runs in 148 balls. So far, Jammu and Kashmir has played four games, wherein J&K had won two games and lost two. J&K has won game against Jharkhand on first inning lead, while they lost the second against Chhattisgarh after that Jammu and Kashmir played was against Haryana and today they lost to Railways over first inning lead.
