People of Rajouri Poonch without flood relief | | | Early times Report
Rajouri, Feb 9: Although Union Government has claimed to invest Rs 62000 crore of flood PM package in Jammu and Kashmir after September flood 2014 on the other hand more two thousand victim families of Peer Panjal region. According to source more than 1300 victim families of Rajouri district whereas about 600 of Poonch district are still waiting for flood relief. Social activities Sayed Shadab said that public want work instead of false speeches and baseless claims. He said that beside 2000 victims there are many public places including Kallar Androlla foot bridge in Thannamandi and many religious places including Graveyards, Shamshan Ghats in Peer Panjal region which are still waiting for their restoration. He urged upon the state government and said, all the regions including Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Chanab and Peer Panjal regions should be given in equal shares. Shadaab informed that locals of many areas of Peer Panjal region have allegedly said previous state governments deliberately ignored the people of this region and the legislators of the region was in sleep in during the assembly and council and If governments delay in providing relief to the victims of this region, the activists of the movement will hit the roads at large, they warned. |
