Kathua, Feb 9: JDS Gurukul Kathua today celebrated its Annual Day in the School premises with pomp and show.
Dr. Bharat Bhushan, Managing Director,J&K Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, & Backward Classes Development Corporation was the chief guest on the occasion. Dr. Sulakshna Mengi - noted Pediatrician of the town & Sanjay Sehgal, Headmaster of Govt. Middle School Khokhyal were the guests of honour on the occasion.
At the outset, the students of Gurukul prseneted Ganesh Vandana, followed by colourful extravanga devoted to national integration, valour of our soldiers and Swachhta Abhiyan. The dance items of tiny tots were acclaimed by the audience.
Joginder Sharma, Chairman of the School presented the progress report of the school.
The chief guest in his speech appreciated the academic achievements of school students and wished more splendid achievements by Gurukul students in the times to come. He also appreciated Sanjay Sehgal who has been conferred Best Teacher Award for keeping higher academic standards in schools where he remains posted.
Later the meritorious students were awarded medals and momentous on the occasion. The programme culminated with the recital of National Anthem. |
