Jammu, Feb 9: Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Jammu today organised Matri-Pitra Poojan Divas in the school premises.
Union Minister of State, Rattan Lal Kataria was the chief guest on the occasion. Member Parliament (Rajya Savbha) Shamsher Singh Manhas, former MLA Rajesh Gupta, Rajinder Kumar (Prachar Purmukh, Vidya Bharti Uttar Kshetra) were the special guests.
On the occasion, the students presented colourful cultural programmes depicting the tradition of India which promotes worship of parents and teachers. Rattan Lal Kataria, hailed the efforts of Vidya Bharti for providing value based education to the budding students of the nation.
He also appreciated the performance of the students. Among others also present on the occasion included Satish Mittal Ji (President of the School), Sh. Hari Bhusan Ji (Maha Mantri, Bhartiya Shiksha Samiti), Dr. Naresh Sharma (Secretary of the School), Pradeep Tripathi, Prant Nirikshak and Dr. Vivek Sharma, Prachar Prabhari, Bhartiya Shiksha Samiti J&K and Ladakh.
