Early Times Report

Samba, Mar 21: The absence of doctors in Primary Health Centre (PHC) Nad of Samba district has become cause of concern for the people of the Nad area in the wake rising threat of Coronavirus in the UT.
The people alleged that Primary Health Centre remained deserted most of the time as doctors deputed never reach on the time. They usually come in the afternoon depriving the people of treatment who are suffering from various general illness.
“When we went to PHC Nad in the morning, we were shocked to see that there was no doctor available in the health center and doctor’s room was found empty. We waited for long time and then doctor came after 12 pm,” visitors told Early Times.
They further said that the other rooms of the health center were locked as there was no one present in the center. The doctors and other staff adopt laxity in discharging their duties due to which people have to face huge difficulty.
“PHE Nad caters service to people of seven adjoin panchayats, who solely dependent on this health center. Whenever they approach to authority concerned regarding this complaint, they are never given satisfactory reply, which shows that department is least bothered to take note of this grave problem for the locals,” they alleged.
