Rajouri police distribute masks in red zone areas of Manjakote

RAJOURI, Apr 2: Intensifying its efforts in providing help to the people of border areas, the Rajouri police today distributed masks among the people on their fervent appeal in red zone areas of the Manjakote of district Rajouri.
The help was provided in these areas after the residents approached the police that they had been facing acute shortage of masks during lockdown. The initiative was taken after the issue of shortage of masks came into the knowledge of SSP Rajouri Chandan Kohli, who immediately responded and activated the concerned SDPO and SHO Manjakote to provide the help as soon as possible to the aggrieved.
Around five red zones have been declared in the Majakote area after number of COVID- 19 positive cases reported which had created panic among the people as well as the administration. Police initiated many measures to stop its spread further and trying to provide every possible help in these area.
On the direction of SSP Rajouri Chandan Kohli, a team comprised of SDPO Manjakote NA Khoja, SHO Manjakote Manzoor Kohli along with local Sarpanch Sumreen Khan distributed masks among the people and created awareness about the corona virus and informed them about the importance of social distancing to prevent themselves from this deadly virus. Tehsildar Manjakote was also present on the occasion.
Sarpanch Sumreen Khan while talking to Early Times expressed satisfaction over the prompt action of police in providing masks to the people. He further said that the helpline number has been helping the people in many ways during urgency.
SDPO Manjakote NA Khoja said that they had been trying their best in mitigating their problems as it is very crucial times which they have to fight together.
