Lockdown continues in Rajouri, action initiated against violations

Rajouri, Apr 2: The lockdown restrictions due to prevailing circumstances of COVID19 continued in Rajouri district with police authorities alongwith para military forces and in presence of executive magistrates enforced all the restrictions ordered by District Magistrate Rajouri.
Police said that lockdown as of past days continued across the district and only essential services enlisted by the government were allowed. Meanwhile, the police on Thursday distributed face masks among people in Manjakote Tehsil area where five villages have already been declared as red zone.
Sub Divisional Police Officer Manjakote Nisar Khoja alongwith Tehsildar Manjakote Mohammad Sageer and Station House Officer Manjakote Manzoor Kohli distributed the face masks in different areas and also made people aware about Corona virus Pandemic and urgent preventive measures need to be implemented.
Dry ration was also distributed among poor families and workers as well as migrants in Darhal, Nowahera, Kalakote and other areas of the district. Meanwhile, police have registered a case in FIR 23/2020 under 409 IPC and Essential Commodities Act against a government ration dealer namely Mohammad Majeed from Hill Tak area of Darhal. Cognizance have been taken for overcharging of food grains.
Meanwhile, a tempo traveller JK12A 7318 was intercepted by police in Budhal area vehicle was found ferrying some laborers after which vehicle was seized and a case under relevant sections have been registered in Budhal police station.
