Oil marketing companies to provide ex-gratia of Rs. 5 Lakh for next kin of deceased employee

Jammu, Apr 2: The Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) distributors have decided to pay an ex-gratia amount of Rs. 5 Lakh for life coverage on account of COVID 19 to the spouse/ next of kin of deceased employee.
Oil Marketing Companies like IOC/ BPC/ HPC are ensuring delivery of essential services i.e LPG to around 32 Cr households of India. The companies have assured the customers that there is no shortage of LPG for the households and all their plants and distributor network are working tirelessly to ensure that cylinders are delivered to homes so that they remain safe in their homes.
LPG has been exempted from the lockdown situation as the same comes under essential commodity. “Our distributorship staff, godown keeper, mechanics and delivery boys are in full readiness during this crisis period to maintain uninterrupted LPG cylinder supplies to all customers during this lock down period and beyond”, it reads.
During this trying period of COVID 19, Government of India has announced free LPG for all the Ujjwala consumers for three months from April to June 2020. Cost of these refills will be transferred in advance to the bank account of ujjwala beneficiaries so that they can utilise the amount for purchasing Gas cylinders. Under this scheme 88532 no.s of Ujjwala beneficiary in Rajouri district will be benefited.Let us join the National cause to fight against COVID 19 and as a society help the poor and needy and make our contribution. Let us pledge to obey all guidelines of COVID-19 given by the Government from time to time and ensure that others do the same.
