Jammu, Apr 10: The "WE CARE FOR YOU" Campaign of Jammu Police launched by SSP Jammu, Shridhar Patil is going on in full swing in Police Subdivision Akhnoor.
The main aim of this campaign is to spread awareness and sensitize people about COVID-19 pandemic as well as help needy and poor people residing in Police Subdivision Akhnoor.
Yesterday SHO Akhnoor at 2045 hrs received a call from stranded labourers from Gurgasspur, Bihar and Haryana who are still putting up in Akhnoor town appealed for immediate help as they are running out of ration, same was brought to the notice of SDPO Akhnoor, Ajay Sharma.
Matter was taken up with ACR Jammu who is nodal officer and approval taken.
The CISF 246 Bn, company of which is deployed at PS Akhnoor volunteered to help the needy and after mobilizing all resources 40 families consisting of 160 souls ration was arranged for a week comprising of 2 kg Rice, 5 kg Atta, 1kg Dal, 1 kg Potato, 1 kg Sugar, 1 kg onion, Mirchi, Haldi and etc. per family.
Accordingly list of needy people was prepared by SHO Akhnoor and also their demands found genuine on ground after getting it checked through beat officer.
Today the said ration got
distributed by the SDPO, Coy cdr Juneja of 246 CISF stationed at PS Akhnoor, SHO Akhnoor Insp Pardeep Sharma, concerned beat officer and officials of 246 CISF under the Supervision of SP Rural Jammu Suram Singh, strictly maintaining social distance. |
