4/10/2020 10:52:06 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

Kishtwar, Apr 10: In order to provide the succor to the people of Marwah and Warwan areas of Kishtwar District having population of nearly 40000 souls, the local Sarpanch Warwan has sought immediate opening of Kishtwar - Margan Top road.
The road is closed since last five months due to snowfall at Margan Top and Sinthan Top as a result of which the local people, particularly patients living in these areas are suffering due to no connectivity.
Speaking to Early Times, Sarpanch Choidraman Warwan, Azad Hussain Lone said that last month he submitted written representation to the Lt Governor G C Murmu and apprised him about the suffering of the poor people of Warwan due to non-availability of the road connectivity. Lone said that he had sought the directions to Vailoo Division of Anantnag and Marwah Special Division of Kishtwar District for early snow clearance of the road passing though Margan Top. He said that in case the snow gets cleared at Margan top, the locals will get connectivity to Marwah and Warwan via Ramban.
He said that if the concerned department clears the snow both at Sinthan Top and Margan Top, the distance will be drastically reduced. Lone said that due to non-availability of surface link, communication and electricity nearly 40000 souls living in this part of the country are suffering even after 75 years of independence.
