Jammu, Apr 13: Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) today greeted people on the birth anniversary of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar who played major role in the formation of Indian constitution.
In a press statement, JKAP senior leaders Manjit Singh and Vikram Malhotra greeted people of Jammu and Kashmir on the birth anniversary of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar i.e. on April 14.
They hoped that the footsteps of Ambedkar will be followed to provide equal opportunities for all the citizens.
“Ambedkar thoughout his life struggled for the rights of the downtrodden citizens of the country so that they can be treated equally without any disparity,” they said.
The JKAP leaders said that Ambedkar, as socio-political reformer, gave safeguards to the neglected section of society in the Indian Constitution so that they can be given equal opportunity in education, jobs and economical upliftment.
Highlighting important role played by Ambedkar in Indian constitution, they said that the time has come when Government should follow the path shown by Ambedkar and work equal treatment to all the citizens before the law.
“In Indian Constitution, he kept check and balance system to make democratic system more powerful, transparent and answerable to people by keeping political parties accountable after every five years,” said the JKAP leaders.
