DM Kishtwar reviews permitted activities allowed after Apr 20

KISHTWAR, Apr 20: In view of revised guidelines on the measures to be taken for the containment of COVID-19 in the country, issued by Ministry of Home Affairs and Government of UT of Jammu and Kashmir, District Magistrate Kishtwar Rajinder Singh Tara convened a meeting with the Executive Engineers of all Government Executing Agencies, 118 RCC, Heads of CVPP; private establishments; project authorities and contractors to review the operation of selected activities after 20th April 2020.
DM briefed the participants about various activities which are permitted as per new guidelines by Ministry of Home Affairs. He said that industries operating in rural areas shall only be permitted to operate with minimum staff /workers strength, maintaining proper social distancing and ensuring the universal usage of masks.
All establishments shall invariably have hand washing facilities with soap or hand wash besides doctors should frequently visit the work site and conduct the check up of workers to know about their health status.
All the establishments were further asked to nominate work site wise nodal officer who will submit the daily report about the number of persons engaged along with photographs to ascertain whether COVID-19 SOPs are followed or not.
DM also cautioned the participants that any permission given shall be subject to following all COVID-19 SOPs and any violation will attract the cancellation of permission besides other actions as per Disaster Management Act, 2005 shall be taken.
Establishments were also asked to download the Aarogya Setu App by the employees under their control besides proper and frequent sanitization of their work place shall be done, DM further stressed.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Mohd Hanief Malik, Additional Deputy Commissioner Pawan Parihar and ALC, Anoop Kumar were also present in the meeting.
