EARLY TIMES REPORT

UDHAMPUR, Apr 20: As the locals are fully cooperating and have been strictly following the guidelines laid down by the administration, the red zone areas of Tikri A, Tikri B, Tikri east and Tikri west here are speedily marching towards normalcy which could make way for such areas moving to orange zone soon.
“We are getting everything of our need like ration, LPG Cylinders, medicines and other essential items at a phone call and the administration is fully cooperative in this regard,” a housewife in the red zone area of Tikri said.
Many elders who regularly need certain medicines informed that they are very comfortable as far as the availability of medicines is concerned. “We are not feeling like being in red zone as the police as well as district administration is extending all help,” they said.
“The only thing is that we have to remain indoors as there is a risk of getting infections on venturing outside. We are very well familiar with this fact as there was an effective counseling in this regard by the concerned nodal officer and we are all cooperating her to remain safe along with our family members,” Suraj , a youth from the same locality, said.
When contacted the ARTO Udhampur Rachna Sharma, who is presently the Nodal Officer of Tikri said that she along with her officers and local sarpanchs and panchs have properly informed the people about the harms of violating the norms adding that keeping in view the gravity of the situation, the public is fully cooperating.
She further said that if all goes well then soon the red zone Tikri may be moved to orange but for that public cooperation is vital.
