What Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) taught us in the period of lockdown ?
4/21/2020 12:12:44 AM
Pankaj Mehta

The outbreak of Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) which started its journey from the month of November , 2019 from Wuhan the capital city of Hubei Province of China had taught a lesson to the entire humanity inhabiting the planet “Mother Earth.” It is the China who won the World War III without launching any single rocket and missile. The Virus had engulfed more than 200 countries of the planet swallowing hundreds of thousands of lives in the USA and Europe however in China the impact was seen only in the city of Wuhan giving a message that Chinese wanted to lead the world by suppressing the Americans. The Europeans are not that educated as they appear to be which was observed and recorded by witnessing the number of deaths that took place in Italy, Spain, France, Germany and United Kingdom. It was also learnt that infact it is the poor people who are much more stronger in immunity than the rich and elite class . No Pandit, priest, maulavi or astrologer could exactly predict the cause, effect and end of the prevailing corona virus disease they all are helpless in saving the life of the humans. In this time of crisis which is being faced by the entire world it was also learnt that the health professionals are worth more than any other sportsperson (football legend, cricket icon, Wimbledon star etc).
The Crude oil which earlier seems to be the most precious natural resource contributing into the economy of the world suddenly seems worthless in the society without its consumption. In the period of the lockdown where more than half of the world population are locked up in their homes must be feeling and realizing the pain what birds and animals undergo when we the humans locked them in zoo making them zoo quarantine for their entire life. We also learnt that it is we the humans who need the planet mother earth for our survival as our planet is regenerating and healing quickly improving the quality of air and water, thus improving the quality of life what our Article 21 of our constitution says that clean air and clean water is the right of our individual inhabiting the planet earth without much of our interference. The event of COVID-19 drastically changed the food and eating habits of the people making us to realize that everyone can survive without junk food. COVID-19 also taught us that the real heroes in this pandemic are the COVID warrior (healthcare staff, Police, administration and common man.) and not the film actors they are only entertainers. Each year we all celebrate the International Mother Earth day on 22 April and raise our voice with the slogan “SAVE EARTH” now after this COVID-19 event the slogan on the Earth day needs to be changed to “SAVE HUMANITY, SAVE HUMANS, SAVE LIFE” as the planet is immortal and it is only we the humans who are going to die and leave the planet.
In a nutshell we all understood that living a cool and hygienic life is not difficult at all. “Life is fragile handle with care.”
