Kishtwar MC to distributes 37500 masks, 13000 sanitisers

KISHTWAR, Apr 21: In order to promote the use of masks and sanitisers, Kishtwar Municipal Council has decided to distribute 37500 masks and 13000 sanitisers among the people living in Kishtwar Municipalities limit.
Speaking to Early Times, President Municipal Council Kishtwar Raiz Ahmed Zarger said that they have procured 37500 masks and sanitisers among the local inhabitants as well as among the non locals presently living in Kishtwar town.
Zargar said that beside among the local inhabitants and the non locals, the masks and sanitisers will also be distributed among the frontline workers including safaie Karamchari , drivers, garbage lifters and supervisors of the department.
He said that these masks and sanitisers had been procured by utilising the funds meant for developmental activities under 14th FC.
He said that equal distribution of the procured material will be effected and the distribution will be made in presence of concern ward members as well as the staff of Kishtwar MC.
Raiz Ahmed Zarger said that the Director Urban Local bodies Jammu is also provided much need help in these testing times by providing spray, chemicals, fogging machines while at the same time some deficiencies are being meted out of their own resources.
He said that Municipality employees are continuously engaged in sanitation drive as well as fogging at key places including hospitals beside also providing helping hand to the administration in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
Zarger said that Municipality officials along with elected counsellors are continuously making awareness among the masses with regard to prevention of disease and preventive measures to be taken including social distancing and isolation.
