COVID-19: Restrictions eased out in Kishtwar following return of normalcy

KISHTWAR, Apr 21: In a major relief to the people, Kishtwar administration today ordered for some relaxation in the district following return of normalcy.
As per the details available with Early Times, DC Kishtwar vide order No. DM/K/20/1063-82 Dated 21-4-2020 titled as “Partial/Conditional relaxation during the ongoing national lockdown for COVID 19” issued the directions in this regard.
According to the order, medical shops, fruit-vegetable shops, milk/ dairy product shops, poultry shops, animal feed & fodder will remain open throughout the week while grocery shops including karyana shops (retail & wholesale) will remain open on Monday, Thursday & Saturday, stationary shops, mobile shops and computer shops will remain open on Monday & Friday.
As per the order medical shops will remain open from 10 AM to 8 PM while all other shops will remain open from 10 AM to 2 PM for the period of 4 hours.
The order also binds all the shopkeeper and customers to wear masks and observe strict sanitary measures including social distancing. It also allowed the load carries to enter into the city premises during lockdown between 6 PM to 9 PM to unload the essential commodities.
As per the order, the above mentioned directions will supersede all the previous orders issued by the office of District Magistrate Kishtwar.
The order was issued following the directions issued by the Lt Governor G C Murmu.
It is pertinent to mention here that Kishtwar District has not witnessed any COVID-19 case along with Doda and Ramban districts of Chenab belt.
