Market Checking: Kishtwar administration issues warning to mutton shops

Kishtwar April 25: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Rajinder Singh Tara, Tehsildar Kishtwar Pramod Singh today conducted a market checking in various areas of Kishtwar town and its adjoining areas.
As per the details available with Early Times, officials of Municipal Council Kishtwar, Police and other allied department also to part in the market checking.
During the course of the Market Checking, the team destroyed rotten fruits and vegetables and issued strict warning to the shopkeepers and customers to follow social distancing as well as guidelines issued with regard to prevention of COVID 19.
During the course of market checking, all the Mutton shops were found closed in Kishtwar despite Kishtwar Administration allowed them to open the shops though out week.
Kishtwar Administration found that the Mutton shop traders are illegally selling the mutton from residential areas on higher rates.
Tehsildar Kishtwar directed the Executive Officer Municipal Council Kishtwar to ensure that all the mutton shops will remain open and sell the mutton as per the rate fixed by the committee headed by DC Kishtwar and warn the mutton shoppers either to start sale of mutton from designated shops— others Kishtwar Administration will register FIR against them.
