2 FIRs registered against 8 persons including 4 Madrasa students for illegally entering into Chatroo

KISHTWAR, Apr 25: Chatroo police has registered two fresh FIRs against 8 persons for illegally entering into Chatroo Sub Division via Syanthan/Sangpora pass which include four students who are studying at a local Madrasa at Digjol in Violoo area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag District bordering Kishtwar.
As per the details available with Early Times, after a major creak down on illegal travellers on Jammu-Srinagar and Jammu-Kishtwar National Highway, the people are entering into Chenab valley viz Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban Districts through treachery passes.
With the snow start melting on high altitudes, the people are using Syanthan Pass to reach Kishtwar from Kashmir valley.
South Kashmir Anantnag District connected to Kishtwar District via Syanthan pass situated at an altitude of 12500 feet above sea level.
The Eight person were booked in separate FIRs lodged at police station Chatroo.
As per the details available with Early Times, in FIR No.08/2020 U/S 188/269/270/IPC date 24-04-2020 has been registered at police station Chatroo for violation of DM Kishtwar order against Fayaz Ahmed S/O Gh Rasool Mir R/ O Kuchhal, Ayaz Ahmed S/O Abdul Rashid Ganie, Ashfaq Ahmed and Mohammad Ishtiyaq both Ss/O Abdul Salam Kumhar all R/ O Rahal Inderwal who came from Kashmir via Singhpora Top and another FIR No. 09/2020 U/S 188/269/270/IPC Date 24-04-2020 has been lodged against Mushtaq Ahmed S/O Mohammad Iqbal, Mohd Arif Wani S/O Mohammad Abass both R/O Shangam Chingam, Muneer Ahmed S/O Late Noor Din Gujjar and Shabir Ahmed S/O Ghulam Hussain both R/O Udil Chatroo who came from Kashmir Division toward Chatroo via Syanthan pass.
only few days ago six people from Chatroo area manage to cross over the Syanthan pass and was booked by Kishtwar police for threatening the lives of people.
it is pertinent to mention that Kishtwar surveillance team, mostly comprises of Gram Rozgar Sevak (GRS) of RDD&PR Department employees manage to track down two groups of people compromise of 4 persons each who are on way to Chatroo via Syanthan Pass and through Singpora -Viloo route.
The group successfully manage to reach Chatroo where police officials on duty took them under custody and sent all of them to Quarantine center at Gujjar and Bakerwal Hostel Chatroo after following due protocol.
Over two weeks ago three persons lost their lives while another got injured after they were trapped under snowfall while they tried to reach Ramban District from Pir Panchal.
Kishtwar District has not witnessed any COVID 19 positive case and is facing constant threat from adjoining Anantnag District that has witnessed huge number of COVID 19 positive cases.
Anantnag District shared the two important road links with Kishtwar District including only road connectivity to Marwah and Warwan valley of Kishtwar District via Margan top.
With the melting of snow, Kishtwar police and administration faces a daunting task to check the inflow of people from Anantnag.
It is because of the prevailing threat, Kishtwar Administration prefer to delay snow clearance at Syanthan Top and Margan Top.
