Terrorists getting silent burials in Kashmir
No organizers left to turn funerals into grand events
4/26/2020 12:59:28 AM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 25: Five terrorists who were killed in the past 24-hours in Kashmir were given a silent burial on Saturday.
According to the sources many people are not coming forward to attend the funeral of even local terrorists as they fear that they could be infected by the COVID-19 and attending their funerals could lead to them getting infected. “Another reason for people in south Kashmir not turning up to attend the funeral of terrorists is that the separatists and supporters of ultras, who used to compel the people to join funerals, are lying low due to many reasons,” sources added.
They said, “NIA cracking whip on the funding channels of separatists and Hawala dealers and putting the Pakistan stooges behind the bars has led to henchmen of separatists disassociating themselves from their bosses. Another factor which has played a major role is money. The money is not reaching the Pakistan stooges as most of the Hawala channels have been closed and conduits have been booked.”
An analyst, while commenting on the emerging situation in Kashmir, said, “Things are very bad in the Valley on every front. Economy of Kashmiri people stands crippled as they had become used to observing shutdown and hartals for months together. Number of COVID-19 cases in Kashmir are surging with each passing day and life returning to normal soon in the Valley looks like a difficult task. So, resurgence of economy looks bleak.”
He said, “On the other hand terrorist handlers sitting across the Line of Control (LoC) seem to have instructed the ultras to intensify the attacks to make their presence felt on the ground amid the outbreak of COVID-19 in the Valley. Overall people of Kashmir are caught in a difficult situation.”
An observer said, “The developments which have taken place post August 5, 2019, have opened the eyes of the people, who used to get hoodwinked due to false propaganda and narrative. People of Kashmir have realized that Pakistan is not their well-wisher as post August 5, terrorists made every attempt to keep people confined within their homes by throwing grenades at crowded places and killing innocent shopkeepers, labourers and fruit merchants. Many factors are contributing towards people staying aloof from terrorists and their supporters.”
He said, “A few terrorists who have laid down the arms silently during the past few months have realized that they cannot fight the Indian Army and Pakistan is using them as cannon fodder.”
