RAMBAN, April, 25: District Administration, Ramban today initiated another effort to prevent COVID-19 outbreak under which Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Ramban, Nawab Din inaugurated the disinfection tunnels at District Hospital Ramban and District Administrative Complex Ramban.
Speaking on the occasion ADDC informed that ten Sanitization (disinfection) tunnels being installed by district administration at places of heavy foot fall including four at the South portal of Jawahar tunnel, two each at the North portal of Nashri tunnel and District Hospital (DH) besides one each at District Administrative Complex and Police Headquarter Ramban.
He also appealed to the people of Ramban to follow lock down religiously and use mask, practice frequent hand washing, boost immunity and follow various advisories of the Government for prevention from this disease. He also asked people not to pay any head to the rumors and misinformation circulating on the social media and download "*Aarogya setu*" App to keep updated.
Furthermore Medical Superintendent District Hospital Ramban, Dr. Vinod Sharma said that this tunnel has been installed in order to ensure the disinfection and sanitization of all the medical, paramedical staff, attendants, patients, visitors and even patients, thereby helping in preventing the transmission of COVID-19 infection in District Hospital.
It was informed that these tunnels are fitted with small electrical pumps which will spray the disinfectants/sanitizers when any persons walks through it and will sanitize clothes, shoes, hands, face of visitor against the COVID-19 virus and other germs. |
