JMC sprays at main markets

JAMMU, Apr 25: All the main markets of Jammu City viz. Raghunath Bazar, City Chowk, Hari Market, Kanji House, Residency Road, Jewel Vivekanand Chowk, Dogra Chowk etc. and religious places were also sanitized in view of Ramzan in coordination with Fire Brigade Department.
For this purpose tippers, loaders, compactors, dumpers, tankers and Tractor trailed Mist Blowers and
Besides, on the directions of Commissioner, JMC Avny Lavasa and under the supervision of Secretary, JMC Tinna Manajan, JMC is also undertaking sanitation drvies on daily basis as per roster with the aim to sanitize all the areas and also to minimize the chance of Covid-19 spread, the areas which were covered today include Narwal Vegetable and Fruit Mandi, Narwal Bala, Transport Nagar, panama Chowk and adjoining areas etc. alongwith the routine ward wise sanitization.
Moreover, JMC teams are constantly de-silting the nallahs on daily basis around 400 MT garbage is desilted from various nallahs and 500 tonnes of C&D waste is collected from the road sides.
Commissioner JMC said that the Corporation has pressed into service its mechanized decontamination vehicles and special teams of workers for sanitization and cleanliness of places of public importance and she further appealed to the general public not to throw the C&D waste on the road sides.
