Police booked one person for defying prohibitory orders

Kishtwar, Apr 28: : Taking strong note of people using treacherous passes to reach Chatroo area of Kishtwar District, the police today managed to apprehend one person for violating the standing orders of District Magistrate. The arrested person was later put under quarantine.
As per the details available with Early Times, a police party led by DySP(P) Mohd Ashrif Lissery and SHO Chatroo was on patrolling duty in near Singpora Top.
While on patrolling, the police party received reliable information that one person by violating lockdown restrictions is coming on foot from Kashmir division towards Kishtwar via Singpora Top.
On receipt of this specific information, nakas/check points were activated at Pujbehi under the supervision of DySP DAR, Ifthkar Ahmed and under guidance of SDM Chatroo Inderjeet Singh Parihar.
The police party headed by DySP(P) Mohd Ashrif, after putting up 6 hours of hectic search managed to apprehend the person in such hilly terrain.
Following the SOP regarding COVID-19, the apprehended person was brought to Chatroo taking all medical precautions and has been put under quarantine.
A case FIR No 10 U/S 188/269/270/IPC has been registered in Police Station Chatroo against the lockdown violator and investigation has been set in motion.
Earlier in three different FIRs, 16 persons were booked by the Chatroo Police, who were later put into quarantine.
