Jammuites vent anger on social media, troll state BJP ruthlessly for internet gag
When enough is enough!

Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 28: As government decided to continue with the gag on high speed mobile internet in Jammu and Kashmir, people of Jammu could be seen ruthlessly trolling the Jammu BJP, terming it a party that has taken region’s people sadistically for a ride.
With the Hashtag #Restore4GinJammuKashmir, people of Jammu hordes took on twitter, targeting the Jammu BJP over its inefficacy for understating the hardships people face due to snail’s pace internet and how the business and student fraternity is suffering amid the gag.
“Jammu BJP is going to be like congress in India.. Now enough of seats on Sh Modi's name. No work no vote. @BJP4JnK has done nothing except for press conferences,” wrote on twitter user.
“This time even without option, Jammu bjp ki pungi pakka bajegi...bahut maaze kar liye Modi ke naam par,” came another tweet. Which was seconded by this one: “Sir only reason bjp surviving in Jammu bcz we don’t have any option .... given a Good option ..... bjp is going to have huge loss ... m sure”
There were also series of memes circulating on the social media platform in which Jammu BJP was being targeted specifically. In one such meme, a politician from a film could be seen hounded by his own followers for failing them. The scene was shared with a title “This is going to happen with bjp leaders next time when they will ask for vote.” The government on Monday extended the ban on high-speed mobile internet in the region till May 11, deciding to restrict data speed to only 2G limits on post-paid SIM cards. These services will not be available on pre-paid SIM cards unless verified as per the norms applicable for postpaid connections, said order by J&K home department’s principal secretary Shaleen Kabra. There would be no speed restrictions on the internet through landline broadband. The order says that the restrictions are necessary to defeat the nefarious designs from across the border to propagate terrorism. “Such restrictions have been placed in order to curb uploading, downloading and circulation of provocative videos, guard against rumor-mongering/fake news, prevent the use of encrypted messaging and VOIP services for infiltration and coordinating terror activities,” it says.
Meanwhile, resentment amongst the Jammuites against the BJP is witnessing an unprecedented upsurge with social media platforms like twitter becoming an easy way to vent the anger out. “We have seen how businesses have been reeling under crises due to the gag in Jammu. What wrong have we people done that we are being punished in such a pathetic manner?,” asks a netizen, adding that those who used to brandish themselves as champions of Jammu cause are in oblivion while those who voted in their favor in droves are bearing the brunt of the ongoing uncertain and trying circumstances.
