President ICA seeks helps from former cricketers

Jammu Apr 29: Ashok Malohtra President Indian Cricket Association has appealed to the legends of the game and star players to contribute for the welfare of the less privileged players who are facing financial crises due to the lockdown.
The ICA has requested all of its members to contribute atleast Rs.1000 in order to support around 30 former Ranji players who are not eligible to get pension from BCCI or State cricket Associations . These players have finished their careers but are not getting pension from the BCCI and are facing hardships for their day to day life due to the lockdown.
President Indian Cricket Association has also appealed the Jk legends to come forward and contribute. He also informed Mr.Rajesh gill member ICA through telephone that ICA has formed eight member committee which includes five members from ICA and BCCI apex council members Anshuman Gaekward ,Shantha Rangaswamy and IPL governing council member Surinder Khana.The committee will make the final list of beneficiaries who are in dire need of money.
President ICA also informed that so many legends through out the county came forward and donaded generously for this genuine cause for the needy cricketers. And more that twenty four lakhs of Rupees have been recieved from the former cricketers.
It needs to mention here that couple of cricket promoters of Jammu and Kashmir UT which included Rajesh Gill former Ranji player and Avinash Uttam Owner of PPCPL team Game Changer have also contributed Re.10,000/- for this cause for the needy cricketers of the country.
Meanwhile Vinod Sharma and Rajesh Gill former Ranji players and members of ICA have recommended the name of some needs cricketers of Jammu and Kashmir for the help from ICA for this lackdown.
