Only 10 active coronavirus cases left in Jammu province

Jammu, Apr 29: With five cases recovered and discharged from hospital today, Jammu division in showing a way to the whole nation in dealing with dreaded Covid-19 because out of total 58 positive cases only 10 cases is active today.
Situation is very encouraging in Jammu district where out of 26 positive cases, 23 have been recovered and only three active cases have been left. Similarly in Udhampur district out of total 20 cases, 16 have been cured, one dead and only three cases have been active till date. During the last 15 days no positive case has been reported in Jammu district while as Samba and Kishtwar districts are already free from the Covid-19.
As per reports there are72 per cent recovery rate and all the 10 districts are showing reversal trend as compared to the other parts of the country.
The red zones of Jammu district — Janipur, Gujjarnagar, Bathindi, Sunjwan and Kalika Colony — have already been converted into orange zones.
Of the total 58 positive cases, only one patient has lost his life, while 45 have been completely cured and discharged from hospitals. Those who have recoevered include a six-month-old baby who was infected along with his mother and sister.
There is no case in the Poonch and Doda districts. Kishtwar and Samba have also become free from coronavirus after the patients from the two districts recovered. On Tuesday, all four patients of Samba district were discharged from the hospital.
As per reports 60 percent of cases in Jammu division are related to Tabliqhi Jamaates. The latest case from Mahore area of Reasi was also related to Tablighi because the victim was himself directly associated with the Jamaat.
