Now Geelani’s granddaughter running ‘Tehreek’ from abroad
4/29/2020 11:49:47 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 29: Even as the historic decision taken by New Delhi on August 5, 2019 to abrogate the special status of Jammu and Kashmir has silenced most the separatist voices, now granddaughter of Hurriyat Conference Chairman Syed Ali Geelani has gone active.
Geelani’s granddaughter, who was allegedly pampered by the then Peoples Democratic Party is now settled in the Middle East from where she seems to be trying to incite the youth about so called Kashmir sentiment.
Sources said apart from being active on the social media, she has been actively participating in events including debates and online seminars being held on situation in Kashmir.
Claiming to be working as a “journalist”, the young woman has been more busy with Kashmir assignment even when she is working far away from her homeland.
It’s pertinent to mention that this particular family was close to the then PDP led government and this woman in particular was seen going abroad those days as well.
Interestingly while Geelani has been asking Kashmiri woman not to leave Kashmir, his granddaughter is settled abroad.
Sources said the government was actively keeping track of her online activities to see if she is does anything provocative to instigate the people of Kashmir especially the youth.
A senior police official told Early Times that it has been true for separatist families that “they themselves enjoy the best of the luxuries of life but instigate the common youth of Kashmir.”
From Geelani’s granddaughter to Shabir Shah’s daughter, most the kids of separatist families are settled abroad.
A senior official said “It’s for the youth of Kashmir to understand that they are being misled and misguided by those who are actually enjoying life to its fullest.”
“The problem with such families is that they don’t understand the pain of those who lost lives in the Kashmir conflict. But one can only hope that this indoctrination will end soon as the youth are understanding the reality of these separatist kids,” the official said.
Despite repeated attempts, Geelani’s granddaughter couldn’t be contacted for comments.
