Plus Two Lecturers’ Forum demands filling up of vacant posts of Principals
4/29/2020 10:17:39 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Apr 29: Demanding filling up of all vacant posts of Higher Secondary School Principals at the earliest, the All J&K Plus Two Lecturers’ Forum said that about 200 Higher Secondary schools are lying headless in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
The demand was raised in a meeting of the Forum which was held today through teleconferencing under the chairmanship of its president Deepak Sharma.
In the meeting, Deepak Sharma informed that amid the lockdown due to Covid-19 Pandemic, School Education Department has taken various innovative steps to ensure that academic side of students is not affected but due to non-availability of Principals in more than two hundred Higher Secondary Schools, the implementation of the same is not hassle-free. He further added that in most of the cases, a single Principal is holding the charge of a number of schools and thus finding it difficult to do justice especially due to prevailing lockdown. The forum demanded immediate filling up of all the vacant posts of Principals strictly according to the UT level seniority of Senior Lecturers as per the seniority list available vide Govt Order No 1074 of Education 2013 Dated 30-12-2013 and updated seniority vide School Education Administrative Department No Edu/ HRM-I/47/2019 Dated 14-2-2020.
Forum demanded that promotees should be adjusted preferably in their respective Division and leftovers may be posted in other division as per seniority as lecturer and above being state cadre posts.
Forum further hoped that practical shape will soon be given to Running Grade/ Time Bound Promotion and Induction Quota into KAS in favour of Plus Two Lecturers as promised by Principal Secretary Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon and regularization orders of all incharge incumbents/ retirees will also be issued at the earliest.
