Tourism Federation’s assistance program continues

JAMMU, Apr 29: Tourism Federation of Jammu (TFJ) today received two truckloads of relief material meant for needy people in presence of Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, UT of Jammu and Kashmir Farooq Khan and Sewa Bharti. These essential supplies were donated by ITC Ltd., a leading FMGC, for distribution amongst needy.
The relief will go to families who are poor, stuck in Jammu as well as labour class, who is finding it difficult to meet their ends in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent Lockdown. The Tourism Federation is continuing to extend all possible help to needy in these testing times by distributing essential commodities including food and dry ration.
Continuing its efforts, the ITC Ltd, today handed over two trucks of relief material comprising of huge quantity of salt, soap and juices to TFJ in the presence of Farooq Khan at Trikuta Yatri Niwas Jammu, the central distribution centre of Sewa Bharti J&K.
Lauding the efforts of TFJ and Seva Bharti, Farooq Khan said that this relief material from ITC will add to the resolve of government as well as various organisations, NGOs and social workers in meeting the demands of people in these times. Appreciating TFJ’s COVID-19 Assistance Program, which has helped needy households across Jammu district during this ongoing crisis, Farooq Khan also acknowledged concentrated efforts of Ashish Gupta, Gaurav Mahajan and Tapan Dubey, the young team of TFJ.
Simultaneously, ITC’s Jammu branch, led by Mr. Vinay Mehta, and assisted by Shahid, Divanshu & Anukaran were also applauded, who managed the material under ITC’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Farooq Khan said that role of corporate houses in these testing times means a lot to the Government and other organisations and individuals, which are helping the needy in a big way.
Raman Suri Gen. Sec. TFJ, Sd. Amrik Singh President TFJ, Executive Members TFJ B.B. Kotwal and Abhay Bakaya, Vivekanand ji from Vishva Hindu Parishad, Puneet Kumar from RSS and Joy Dev Singh from Sewa Bharti were the prominent persons present at this occasion.
