Amid arrival of labourers, total lockdown on Doda-Thathri stretch
1095 labourers arriving Doda in 91 buses at midnight

Kishtwar, May 5: In order to take preventive measures, Sub Divisional Magistrate Thathri imposed total restrictions on the movement of private vehicles and other activities in Sub Division Thathri ahead of arrival of huge number of labourers and students from outside the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a message “Good Day to every resident of Sub-Division Thathri”, SDM Thathri Athar Amin Zarger while congratulating the people for giving full cooperation in lock down said that till date that resolve has made Thatri Corona free.
“Now since you all are aware that our brethren labourers who were stranded in different parts of country are coming back. Many have come and thousands will arrive in next 3 days. Further in these 3 days their testing will also be undertaken. Now, for our previous efforts to be successful— we need to ensure that we must be extra cautious in these three days, as there is apprehension that during their travel they may try to purchase something from shops or else interact with anyone” read the statement issued by SDM Thatri.
SDM Thathri told the Early that that in the interest of public there will be complete shutdown for 3 complete days in all markets along highway viz. Premnagar, Thathri , Kahara ,Bathri amongst others with no shop of any kind will be allowed to open for 3 days from today.
He said that the people from periphery ares of Thatri are requested not to come to Thathri or Kahara as they won’t be allowed to enter in the town.
He said that Thathri and Doda District is receiving 1095 labourers who had started arriving at Assar Point in 91 busses added that administration is taking every possible step to safe guard the people,s life.
He said that tomorrow as many as 2500 plus labourers from outside Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir are expected to arrive in the Doda District.
Among the 1095 persons who are arriving in Doda District include Bhaderwah University Campus (150), Community Hall (100), BERRRU HSS (100) with total 350 labourers belong to Bhaderwah, Thathri (210), Thathri/Kahara (210) with total number of 420 labourers for Thathri sub Division, Doda JNV (220), HSS Girls Doda (105) with total 325 labourers belong to Doda.
In addition to these labourers hailing from Kishtwar are also arriving through same route which has now been shut down on SDM Thathri order.
