JAMMU, May 5: Despite lapse of five months, an enquiry committee constituted by the Secretary Rural Development and Panchyati Raj (RD&PR) to examine DSOR under SECURE has not held a meeting till date.
According to sources, a two-member committee was constituted by the Secretary RD&PR in the month of December, 2019 to examine DSOR under SECURE, but unfortunately the committee never met till date.
“A committee of following officers is hereby constituted to examine and submit report regarding uploading of excess rates as claimed in DSOR under SECURE in respect of Jammu Division. The committee comprising Superintending Engineer, (REW) Jammu and Executive Engineer (REW) Samba shall submit the fact finding report within week’s time to administrative department”, said a Govt order no. 319-RD&PR of 2019, dated 10/12/2019.
They said in similar case an XEn and AEE posted in Kupwara were suspended by the government. “In violation DPR, Nazir Ahmed Bukhari XEn, REW Kupawara and Mohd Shafi Bukhari I/c Assistant Executive Engineer, were suspended and attached with Directorate of Rural Development Kashmir vide govt order no 60-RD&PR of 2020, dated 06/03/2020”, sources said, adding that but no action has been taken yet in case of embezzlement committed in Samba.
