02 fresh positive cases, 10 recovered in Baramulla
Pakipora Pattan notified as Red zone, 03 villages as Buffer zones

BARAMULLA, May 19: Two fresh positive cases were reported in Baramulla, while as 10 have recovered today, where as Pakipora village of thesil Pattan has been notified as Red zone. According to media bulletin that said Bandipora has 137 positive cases with 08 Active Positive, 128 recovered, 01 death, Baramulla has 121 positive cases including 02 reported today with 26 Active Positive, 91 recovered including 10 recoveries today, 04 deaths; Kupwara has 101 positive cases with 53 Active Positive, 48 recovered. An order was issued by Chairman DDMA/ District Magistrate Baramulla vide no: DMB/PS/C-19/RZ/1491-99 dated 19/05/2020 said the village Pakipora Thesil Pattan is notified as Red zone and consequently there shall be no inward or outward movement of any person/s from this and people shall stay indoors as there will be complete lockdown in the said village. However there are reports that after first case of Covid-19 detected in Pakipora Pattan, Block Medical Officer (BMO) Pattan Dr Tasavor today sanitized the whole area of Pakipora where first positive case was detected yesterday.
The official along with medical staff has done door to door visit to aware people about pandemic and informed them to trace out if anybody has contact history with yesterday’s positive case. The whole medical staff was there for whole day just to make sure that spread of this deadly Pandemic disease will be stopped. Meanwhile it is learnt that, Kreeri Police on Saturday filed an FIR against 03 Tractor drivers and seized three tractors in Wanigam Payeen Pattan area of this north Kashmir district. These tractors were extracting Sand and Bajri and were roaming in Nallah at Wanigam Payeen amid corona virus pandemic which poses big threat to the general public of these areas. Sources also said that the some people are illegally extracting Gravel and Boulders in the Gundari nallah during night hours.
Despite the fact that Wanigam Payeen has been declared Buffer Zone by District Administration after Covid-19 case was reported from nearby village Pakipora, and these tractors were even then extracting Bajri from nallah and were violating the section 144 imposed by Administration, said reports.
Police has registered a case vide FIR No: R 4/2020 under section 188, 269 and 430 IPC and initiated investigation in the matter.
