| TMF appreciates HDFC for distributing face shields to photo journalists | | |

JAMMU, June 18: Appreciating the move of HDFC bank in collaboration with a media house to distribute Face Shields & other protective gears to photo journalists in Srinagar, the Team Mask Force (TMF) Chairman Vijay Sharma appealed the NGOs in league to come forward and follow suit in Jammu region as well. A statement issued by Vijay Sharma said that photo journalists as well as other journalists exposed to coronavirus infections have suffered various setbacks during lockdown period and have been facing hardships in this economic crisis, in particular hardships being faced by print media for want of non-payments of dues and non-availability of any package in near future. The initiative has been taken by Times of India in league with HDFC is a welcome step and must have to be appreciated, adding that it must encourage more such institutions for the cause of front line corona warriors in performance of their coverage of facts which helps authorities to formulate policy framework in the best interests of general masses. He further appealed to LG GC Murmu to give due consideration to journalist fraternity and clear all pending dues of the media organizations so that they could disburse pay and perks to their staff without any difficulty. |
