| Plus 2 Officers hold meeting, project several demands | | |

JAMMU, July 17: A meeting of All J&K Plus 2 Officers Association through video Conferencing held in Jammu today under the Presidentship of Dr PP Raina, in which all of the Executive committee and general body members took part.
In the meeting, the members elaborated on each aspect of the genuine problems being faced by the School Education Department in general and Plus 2 Cadre in particular. The Association made an appeal and requested to the both Committees headed by DSEJ & DSEK constituted by School Education Department vide Govt order no 157- Edu of 2020 Dated 09-7-2020 to elaborate and recommend the 12 points for according sanction and issuance of required SROs/appropriate orders by the higher authorities in a time bound manner.
The main points highlighted includes powers be delegated to respective Directors at Directorate level to effect transfers of Lecturers/Sr Lecturers, time bound promotions for Plus 2 Cadre /Assured Career Progression for Plus 2 Cadre Principals and Lecturers as is prevalent in other cadres, promotion of Principals on Roster Out of 80% Sr Lecturers, 10% Lecturers with Ph.D. Qualifications, 10% ZEOs quota, non-vacational status to Principals in general and those Lecturers in particular who work during vacations, fixing of 10% quota for lectures to be inducted in KAS in SED, resumption of about 40% quota even be enhanced to 50% for Plus 2 cadre Lecturers for Higher Education Department, removal of pay anomalies of Plus 2 cadre and be placed in Pay Band 3 with GP of Rs 6000 in Pre Revised Scale, placement of about 3000 Lecturers as Sr Lecturers as per 1/3rd of the cadre strength and residential accommodation to teaching faculty in far flung areas to enhance the performance of teachers in the department. |
