EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, July 21 (JNF): Court has directed SP (Rural) to look into the allegations of molestation against SHO Police Station (PS) Akhnoor and if the averments are true than proceed under relevant provisions of law.
Court’s direction came taking cognizance in view of an application seeking direction to SSP for registration of FIR against SHO PS Akhnoor.
In the application filed the complainant said that a person namely Kuldeep Singh alias Deepa, son of Late Attar Singh of village Sungal, Tehsil Akhnoor is having personal enmity with the husband of the complainant on account of some civil dispute with respect to the land falling in Sungal and even earlier also in the year 2019 i.e. 30-12-2019 a criminal act was committed by Kuldeep Singh alias Deepa wherein he tried to kill complainant’s brother i.e. Sunil Kumar, son of Om Parkash with sharp edged weapon and on the complaint of complainant an FIR stands registered U/s 307 in Police Station Akhnoor and thus Kuldeep was having a personal enmity not only against the complainant but also with other family members. That on 14-06-2020 complainant and her family members came to know that Kuldeep alias Deppa along with Deepak Gupta were raising illegal construction on their land, so complainant’s family members immediately called on the phone number 9419151023 of the SHO concerned but his number was switched off, so complainant and her family members rushed to the spot and there they found that Kuldeep Singh and Deepak Gupta along with their goons were waiting for them and instantly they started abusing and threatening them. That after the scuffle complainant and her family members went to home but quite shockingly the very next day the SHO along with other police officials raided their house that too at the late night hours when no senior male members was present at the home, complainant along with her young daughters requested the SHO concerned to come next day when her husband will be there, but rather than listening to their request the SHO Akhnoor namely Pardeep Sharma thrashed complainant and even abused and tried to molest complainant and her daughter.
Munsiff Jammu Preet Simran Grover after hearing arguments of the counsel and also after going through the report directed the SP (Rural) to look into the matter and if the averments are true than proceed under relevant provisions of law. JNF
