Amit Sharma chairs meeting on land status of GMCH & AHJ

Jammu, July 21: Amit Sharma, Administrator, Government Medical College and Associated Hospitals Jammu today chaired a comprehensive review meeting on status of lands which come under the jurisdiction of all Associated Hospitals of Jammu. Various participants who shared details about the land and properties owned by Government Medical College and its Associated Hospitals in said meeting include Dr Dara Singh, MS GMC Hospital, Dr Rajeshwar MS, CD Hospital, Dr Kirti Sharma MS, Psychatry Hospital, Dr Deepak Kumar Dy MS, Super Speciality Hospital, Harvinder Singh Xen Works, Amit Sharma SDPO Bakshi Nagar, Mohd Saleem Naib Tehsildar Jammu Khas, Sonia Vaid Deputy Director Planning, Safina PLO, Dr Mrityunjay, Dr Bains and Dr Seema, Wardens of GMC Hostels amongst others. Administrator AHJ Amit Sharma took a Hospital & Hostel complex-wise review of the status of lands falling under the jurisdiction of Associated Hospitals Jammu and took important decisions relating to retrieval of the lands originally belonging to Health Department which have been illegally encroached by private parties in past. He directed Executive Engineer Works to get the repair works done and ensure erection of the damaged wall on backside of Super Specialty Hospital Jammu. Amit also directed them to close all illegal openings on war-footing basis which provide thorough fare to people staying outside four walls of GMC Jammu especially on the walls facing front gate of Government Medical College complex.
During the meeting, it was decided that an Estates Officer and a support team with members of all Associated Hospitals shall be appointed by the soon and Administrator AHJ Amit Sharma mentioned that all such issues including land related documents shall come under its purview, custody and management in the near future. He also directed Revenue Authorities who were attending this meeting to conduct a fresh AHJ land demarcation exercise and provision all upto date revenue documents related to GMC and its Associated Hospitals within a fortnight.
