Admin extends restriction in Kupwara till 3rd August

KUPWARA, July 25: With rise in Covid-19 cases, the administration in Kupwara has extended restriction till 3rd May, 2020.
“Whereas, in view of spike in positive cases in the District in the recent times, restrictions were imposed in the district from 14-07-2020 vide this office order No. DCK/PS/2020/04/1756-6 I Date& 14- 074020”, reads the order issued by the District Magistrate Kupwara, which lies with Early Times.
It added, “Whereas, the overall COV1D scenario has been reviewed in consultation with Health Department and in exercise of Powers confer under Sec 144 CrPc and Section 34 of Disaster Management Act, it is hereby ordered that restrictions imposed vide the aforesaid Order Dated:-14-07-2020 shall continue to be operational till 03.08-2020 with limited relaxations enlisted subsequently”.
The order further reads, “In view of forthcoming Eid-ul-Azha and other festive activities, relaxation shall be granted for opening of shops throughout the District from 28-07-2020 to 30-07-2020 subject to the following conditions”.
Which include, “The timing for shop opening shall be restricted from 7:00 Am to 4:00 Pm on all 2.2 COVID negative test reports of all the shop owners and their staff shall be mandatory for opening of shops as already notified by circulars issued by Additional Deputy Commissioner Kupwara and Handwara.
Also, “The concerned ADC’s /SDM’ Tehsildars shall issue Rosters for opening of shops in their jurisdictions to ensure opening of up to 50% shops in any market area to avoid any large congregation. There shall be complete restrictions on shop openings from 31-07-2020 onwards, except those selling dairy products and vegetables only. While as there shall be no restrictions on movement of commercial vehicles carrying essential commodities and construction/other material for developmental works during this period. Lead District Manager ensure operation of Bank Branches as per Rosters to ensure no overcrowding in any of the premises in view of upcoming Eid and all Managers shall ensure adherence to Social distancing and usage of Masks In all the Bank premises/ATM’s.
“The deployment Orders for additional Magistrates issued by concerned Addl. Deputy Commissioner’s /SDM’s to enforce restrictions shall continue to be valid. This order shall remain in force till 03-08-2020 or unless modified earlier”, the order copy read
